Transforming and evolving your soul will cause some of your connections to drift away

Overheard a decades long best friend tell someone at a party that I’m the only one he knows that has changed and transformed more times in one life than he’s ever seen someone do. One of my purposes is to constantly continue to seek, improve, change, grow, transform and evolve beyond practical human life influences. This means there have also been friendships that dissolved. When you’re evolving and doing the soul work, but they’re not, then you will drift apart.

A symbolic analogy example is you have two boats leaving a harbor at the same time. They are gliding side by side over the ocean, but at some point one of the boats makes just a slight change in its course. It’s still moving along with the other boat, but when you look closely you’ll see that it’s gradually moving further and further away from the other boat. They will end up in completely different locations in the end.

If you make just one small slight change in your life with your values, choices and attitudes, but the other person doesn’t and remains where they are, then you will both grow apart and head in different directions just like in the boat illustration. This is from making just the slightest change in your life. Making one slight change in your life leads you to make another and another, leading you further away from the others that remain exactly where they are never seeking to improve, grow, learn, expand and evolve. If I’m not working to do all of those things daily, then I’d rather be dead.
