Two of my long term relationships to date started out as a crush

Image may contain: one or more people, sky, outdoor and natureCrushes are an intense infatuation for someone who is usually unattainable for you, but I’ve always obtained my crushes on some level eventually, which I know not many people can say that.  My romantic life is a series of romantic comedies come true, but it’s not without its challenges. Sometimes you later regret wanting them so fervently.

Two of my long term relationships started out as a crush where I realized that fate was persistently orchestrating our continuous path crossing in person. I had that heart pounding heart wrenching teenage crush on them for an extended period of time before we finally merged as one. There is a part of me that is overly confident that I’ve actually stated out loud each time, “I will get that person.”

Call me arrogant if you want, but the bottom line is that I do end up getting the crush more often than not, and I don’t have to do much to get them. All I have to do is stand in front of them and each one has taken over from there. Soon they’re making a beeline to me whenever they see me, pushing themselves through a crowd to talk to me, eventually the conversation moves beyond a hello, and then there’s long drawn sentences over the course of bumping into one another until suddenly we’re fucking dating eons later.

Once together, they confess they also had a crush on me, but claimed I didn’t seem to notice them. They thought I was intense, intimidating, or that they were barking up the wrong tree and I wasn’t interested. I do come off exceptionally cold and aloof that others believe it to be disinterest. It’s my Virgo Rising/Gemini-10th House. One of the things I later ask my crush is, “What made you finally come after me?” The responses are always the same, “I was afraid I might not see you again. ”

One of the first books I wrote was about having a crush on someone and getting them. “Jagger’s Revolution” was originally called, “The Love Crush”. It’s not a fantasy for me, it’s a dream come true. It was based on the premise of having a crush on someone that you couldn’t shake and it starts to drive you mad as you’re stuck with kissing all of these frogs that mean nothing to you, and the one you want doesn’t even know you exist. But in my real life world I actually get the crush the same way the character in “Sixteen Candles” does. The humility part of me sets in when I realize they had a mutual crush on me too.

A crush pulverizes you ultimately if nothing transpires out of it and yet you keep crossing paths with them and nothing ever happens. It’s an exciting feeling until it leads to frustration and you don’t know how to stop it. You realize you have to shake it off and forget about it until bam they’re standing in front of you again and this time they’re wanting to talk. I’m caught off guard, “Okay, I’m listening.” It gradually evolves from there after endless months of wanting to give up. I’m that challenging to get close to that it takes my crushes months to finally seal the deal…….but nine times out of ten….they eventually do.

How do you know if your crush is into you or not?   Eventually work up the nerve to confess it regardless of reaction.  If it backfires and doesn’t go your way, then at least you know sooner than later. Get it out in the open, then it’s up to the crush to decide how to proceed.  If they’re not receptive or display a reaction you weren’t hoping for, then move on and let it go.  That should be the confirmation to release it.

Crushes are fun and they make you feel good.  That is up until they don’t such as when you’re wondering if you’re wasting your time.  You start to feel pain or frustration not knowing what to do.   This is why they’re called crushes, because they ultimately crush you if nothing evolves out of that state.

It’s beautiful to feel an unexplainable attraction to someone and not know why. My crushing feelings tend to subside if nothing comes of it or I don’t see them for a period of time.  It’s out of sight out of mind, until they’re in front of me again and then the feelings and attraction rise up all over again.

The crushes I’ve obtained did tell me in the end what made them come at me at full force and their reasoning was the ‘fear they might never’ see me again.

Pre-Author Professional Bio:

Kevin began work in the entertainment field weeks after his 23rd birthday joining one of Hollywood’s most respected actors at the height of her box office fame, Michelle Pfeiffer.   The sharp, film-literate worked as her development dude at her company, Via Rosa, where he read and provided coverage on potential projects searching for strong female driven characters-no victims.  He worked through the company’s development and film productions of One Fine DayA Thousand Acres, and The Deep End of the Ocean.

After a number of years, Pfeiffer dissolved her company, and Kevin made an immediate move into coordinating Film Productions for some of the major Hollywood studios.   With a strong work ethic, he continued to hammer his name into stone in the film industry working with some highly well known talent, producers, and directors while adding to a mounting list of production credits.

Some of his other film work credits includes Antonio Bandera’s directorial debut of, Crazy in Alabama, Via Rosa’s Original Sin with Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas, The Perfect Storm with George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and Dr. Dolittle 2 with Eddie Murphy. He subsequently reunited with Pfeiffer’s ex-producing partner, Kate Guinzburg, at her short-lived company with veteran Producer, Martin Bregman (Scarface, Serpico), to assist in bringing the Julia Stiles and Shirley MacLaine film Carolina through development and production.

After  years of working on back to back films, Kevin transitioned into work as an author as he entered his 30’s and beyond.   He started out writing essays about love, dating, relationships, and sex before primarily becoming a spiritual author and teacher.

Love Party of One examines the current dating world for struggling singles longing for love.

Image may contain: text
Love Party of One examines the current love and dating world and what to expect for anyone struggling with being single and longing for love. One of the ways of surviving modern day dating and relationships in a loveless world is by armoring yourself with knowledge. This includes knowledge over the way things currently are. You’ve went to psychic readers, you’ve cast spells, you put yourself out there, did the vision boards, the crystal meditations, and other love rituals presented to you, but you still find you’re desperately wishing the person of your dreams was here already. You grow cynical as if it will never happen and that you just have to accept the fact that perhaps it’s not in the cards. The truth is that dating is a battlefield, so be prepared to get dirty.

In Love Party of One, Kevin Hunter answers some of the practical issues that readers posed regarding their personal conflicts in the current dating market. This is a non-denominational book with some light spiritual slang for anyone struggling as a single person in a loveless world. The dating market is an equal opportunity killer and no soul is exempt from the challenges they face when it comes to love.

“As much as the author’s personality seems to be the work of Picasso, I read the intro and first chapter of “Love Party of One”. I was glued to it, because I really can relate. The things Kevin Hunter touches on in this book are right-on.” – A Reader

“Loved this book. This line really stood out to me: “Desiring a love partner is not co-dependent…to equate a basic human need with desperation is absurd.” – A Reader

“Quite a bit of my dating struggles in my own consciousness I found to be already written down in this book. Love Party of One really vibes with me. Loved it. Thank you.” – A Reader

“I have been reading this book and can’t put it down! It’s soooo good!!! Fantastic work Kevin Hunter! He should be a teacher in a school or college, or a counselor! This stuff he wrote in ‘Love Party of One’ is right to the point and on the mark! Damn he’s good! His Archangel team guided him to a best seller in my opinion! I’m just about to start chapter 8 and each chapter is like, “Damn, he’s so right! He is good! Great job with this! What a gifted Angel and Wise One he is. A true Warrior for sharing the right stuff! Thank you!” – A Reader

Jagger’s Revolution: The 10 Year Anniversary. Trashy Beach Reads.

Image may contain: ocean, one or more people, text and outdoor

It was ten years ago this week in November 2006 that my first official book came out, “Jagger’s Revolution”. Before my spiritually based books, I was writing about love, dating, sex, and relationships.

“Jagger’s Revolution” is an uncensored look at actual events that took place in my life. It is semi-autobiographical and loosely based, but for the most part about 85% of it did indeed take place. I had no reservations or fear that readers would be reading about me having sex. It’s my job to be cracked open when writing.

It has also been interesting to read the notes coming in from readers from all walks of life about it since then. Many growing wet or visibly nervous realizing they shouldn’t be reading this kind of a book out in the open as they’re having a physical reaction. Mothers part of the PTA to teenagers who are way too young to be reading this kind of trash anyway.

Every character is real and came out of composites of friends and lovers of mine. With some of them, I merged more than one into that character. The main love interest is a composite of three real people in my life. Before it came out, I explained to the core circle that they were treated like Kings in it. In the end, no one had any complaints and were excited and flattered they were used at all.

Jagger is ultimately a piece of my personal history, it’s also a love story on both a romantic and friendship level, even though it is “pornographic” in some places. I see the merging of physical expressions of love just as important as love itself.

Some of the racier content caused some problems behind the scenes with the distributor who gave me ultimatums. Basically, “change certain lines or we’re not putting it out”. “You can’t say that as it’s considered illegal. It’ll create issues.” They revisited that again a few years ago after the spiritual books started coming out where I had to spend hours on the phone negotiating or arguing with them over certain lines of dialogue. Some expressed concern that I would allow myself to associate the spiritual stuff with the sex stuff. That’s never been on my radar. I am all about both and have nothing to hide. There’s room for all facets of me, both the light and dark.

Some amusing and interesting trivia: In the Jagger book I say “cock” 80 times, but in my first spiritual book I say “God” 80 times. I once said I went from Sex to God, sometimes offending others by merging the two. Althea Flynt wouldn’t let Larry Flynt do that in Hustler magazine at one point, although he did manage to sneak both themes in anyway at times.

“Nice transition at the coffee shop into Slade. I heard the voicemail beep and it was Slade. I had to read to find out who he is!!”

“I wish I could have this author for a boyfriend.”

“Wow!!!! I recommend this book to everyone from start to finish you will enjoy the ride it is a very captivating story of Jagger looking for the love of his life, a man ready to settle down and he meets a lot of frogs along the way while silently crushing on Garth the hot Australian lifeguard, in between Jagger spends time with his friends who lift him up and writing about each disastrous moment in his column, this is quite an interesting summer for Jagger as he searches for his Prince and Happily Ever After.”

“Was impressed by the books eloquence and passion.”

“Had a two hour flight.  I began to read the book, and then when I got to the last few chapters of Garth and Jagger’s love story and their spiritual and sexual chemistry!  Man!  That romantic letter by Garth to Jagger.  I was so moved by it that by end of my flight I was teary and craving for love. Felt so romantic after so long.”

” When you say gay friendships missing morality and loyalty.  Kevin, you are right I agree.”

“Billy and Jagger.  Hot scene Kevin.  I had visuals”

“I really resonate with your philosophy to be a dude who loves other dudes in their whole body-mind-spirit existence.”

“I bought the Kindle edition of your book !  I F**KING LOVE IT!”

“I have read Jagger’s Revolution and man was it a ride! It had little snippets of different genres, some romance, some erotica, some drama, some spiritual, and some suspense. The trajectory of the author’s personality was evident in this novel.  I am extremely fond of the chapter with Sage, because it was so magical yet heartbreaking. Jagger and Sage were so good for each other, but now it can never be!  I was really heartbroken by that. The chapter about the borderline bipolar sufferer who Jagger broke up with over text really pissed me off, because Jagger wasted so much time and energy on that guy. But the tension between Jagger and Garth is something I can relate too. Against all odds they finally meet after so much anticipation! It took me 24 hours to finish this book and I was intrigued every second.”

Love Party of One: Surviving the Pitfalls of Dating and Relationships in a Loveless World

Love Party of One

Surviving the Pitfalls of Dating and Relationships in a Loveless World

Love Party of One
examines the current love and dating world and what to expect for anyone struggling with being single and longing for love. Author, Kevin Hunter, is a love expert in love with all things surrounding the word love since he arrived on this planet. He has been out in the field studying the human condition since he was a teenager. This has included conducting social experiments as well as diving head first into the areas of love and dating in his own personal life.

Note from the Author

The majority of my published works to date are spiritually based empowerment books called the Warrior of Light series of books.  They are infused with practical messages and guidance that my Spirit team has taught and shared with me revolving around many different topics.  The main goal of those books is to fine tune your body, mind, and soul.  This improves humanity one person at a time.  You are a Divine communicator and perfectly adjusted and capable of receiving messages from spirit as anyone else in the world.

One of the top two questions I receive from readers surrounds the topics of love and relationships, while the other revolves around career.  Love and relationships are a major concern and theme for so many people.  The struggles one wades through in attempting to navigate through a loveless world has made love challenging to obtain or keep.

Although the bulk of material I’ve written are spiritually based empowerment works, I have nevertheless been out in the relationship and dating field my entire life.  Not only was I born having a basic understanding of the human condition, but I also came here as a love guide.  I’ve taken this knowledge out into the dating field studying, researching, and interviewing countless people about their ordeals in the love department.  I love all things love.

I, along with my Spirit team, enjoy seeing people investing in happy committed love bonds because this world doesn’t have enough love in it as it is.  I’ve also been out in the field dating and having relationships of various levels from short term, to long term, to committed, to non-committed.  I’ve had sexual encounters and one night stands.  I’ve had the kind of love that others dream about, but never obtain.  I’ve experienced what it’s like to be a natural Don Juan Casanova type.  I’ve sat down, discussed, and counseled people from all walks of life about their tribulations of being single, dating, and in love relationships.

My entire life has been devoted to all circumstances revolving around the word love.  Others have commented how comfortable they feel around me enough to reveal their deepest and darkest issues that include all things connected to love relationships.  When others are with me they have protested they are divulging information they wouldn’t normally say to anyone else.  Through this process, I’ve gained extensive knowledge of the difficulties that many are faced with in the current modern day dating world.  I understand the practical realities that exist, but I also have spiritual knowledge, guidance, and wisdom to share as to how that applies to the souls of today on Earth.

Heartbreak is an equal opportunity killer regardless if you’re male, female, gay, straight, bi, or whatever you identify to be in this lifetime.  In the end, it is irrelevant since all human souls experience the same heartbreak and rejection issues as any other.   There hasn’t been one person who has never been slighted by love.  If there is I would love to meet that person.

One of my first published pieces was a story loosely based on true accounts on having a crush on someone in my book, Jagger’s Revolution.  It was partially autobiographical and partially thrown in drama at the beginning of my career as an author.  This is where the lines are blurred to the extent that it would be difficult to detect which is real and what is fiction.  I’ve also written a spiritually based book on love and relationships that is the opposite end of that spectrum called, Soul Mates and Twin Flames.

I’ve been studying, researching, experimenting, and counseling people on love and relationships since my teenage years.  I’ve also assisted countless numbers of people through the treacherous waters of romance.  This is regardless of my own personal love life trajectory.  I have definitely walked into challenging personal love relationship situations knowing what I’m getting myself into.

As a lifelong incurable romantic and love addict, I love all things connected to LOVE.  It far supersedes the opposite extreme, which is lonely, isolating, addicting, and disconnected.  I’ve always admired couples that have been together for decades and yet continue to remain loving and supportive with one another.

I wanted to write a book that centered around the realities of dating in today’s challenging technologically based world and what it’s like without sugar coating it.  I’m not one who glosses over the darkness no matter what the content is.   What sometimes comes out of me as a strong opinion is divinely guided from my Wise One spiritual team, but put into my own words.  The information I convey with almost an assault like quality at times is from above to help others navigate through the distressing waters they might find themselves in.

Love Party of One is not necessarily a spiritually based book, even though there may be some hints of it sprinkled throughout, but much of the practical input is divinely guided through a sense of clear knowing, otherwise known as Claircognizance and clear hearing through my Clairaudience channel. The content includes the practical hardships others have faced in the love and relationship world and what to expect if you’re embarking into your teenage years, young adulthood, or new to the current dating relationship world.

There are many people who have faced the ending of a long term relationship. These are connections that have lasted years and some even decades.  They head back out there into the dating world only to discover it’s vastly changed.  This may shed some light on the way things have become.

~Kevin Hunter

Jagger’s Revolution is a hot Summer beach read about a love crush come true

Jagger’s Revolution

Jagger’s Revolution is a love story about a strong, bohemian, beach thug with hard coded rules of etiquette on how love and relationships should be.  Jagger’s fight is one where he endures one bad date after another, while wondering if he’ll ever meet the right soul mate.  Throughout his dating dalliances and crushing love frustrations, he wrestles with the kind of gushing love crush one has as a teenager over Garth, the new lifeguard from Australia. He wrestles with an immediate silent connection with him and longs to get close.

Jagger is surrounded and prompted up by his trustworthy brother in arms. They’re also known as his buddies for life who temper his unruly ego and aggression while giving him undying loyalty. There’s the preppy book smart Troy, the high-powered executive, Russell, and the sex loving and relationship hating Slade.

Jagger’s Revolution contains hard biting dating wisdom and ideals threaded throughout the essays. This is surrounded by true accounts of being slighted by love while craving a perfect soul mate partnership.

Reader Advisory Warning and Spoiler: Jagger’s Revolution is a love story which contains some sexually explicit scenarios.  In traditional love stories, the voyeur is secretly aware that the two leads will end up together, but the fun is the build up and the journey one tolerates before that happens.

The semi-autobiographical essays include: The High School Episode with Billy, Natasha: The Escort Chick, as well as Sage and The Vegas Stripper Club. Jagger finds exhaustion with several dating entanglements that includes: Caden: the Malibu Cobra, the Skaterboy, The Englishman and The Professor.

This week’s focus is on relationships, whether it is love, friendship, family or business connections. Although, this is not a week you want to move forward with anything relationship related seeing as we’re at the most narly point in the Mercury Retrograde shadow. This week will be testy and this next coming weekend you’ll want to lay low and hide out somewhere.

Soul connections will be the focus of the week since the Mars and Mercury Retrogrades prompt others to evaluate the connections they’re currently in. You might be internalizing serious feelings and thoughts. You’ll be asking questions about what’s missing in some of your connections, what can be improved, or if the relationship has run its course.

Many relationship connections tend to end during a Mars or Mercury Retrograde. Sometimes it’s at your own detriment where you or someone else ends the connection prematurely. It’s always best to wait until Mars and Mercury move direct before making any hasty decisions, since what you want during the retrograde has a good tendency to change once it’s direct.

A retrograde will only dismantle a relationship that is already on thin ice, toxic, has fulfilled its purpose, or run its course. It won’t break apart solid soul mate connections. It may make them challenging, but those challenges and misunderstandings dissipate as the two key planets move direct.

This week is about choices too, so if one is single, there could be many potential prospects popping up, but again you don’t want to take it seriously until after the end of May. Potentials pop up, but they just as quickly leave when we move direct. Exes and past friendships that had drifted apart will re-surface over the next 4-5 weeks. Those are the two areas where it’s okay to move forward with during a Mercury Retrograde, since the transit puts a spotlight on unfinished business.

Soul connections teach you valuable lessons. What am I learning from this connection and this other person? What are they learning from me? Soul mate connections challenge you to be a better person. This can also cause friction since the ego dislikes it when you call someone on its stuff. Are you listening to what your soul mate connection is saying? Or is your ego reacting to it with defensiveness? Is it all about what you want and not what they want?

Asking for heavenly help if you’re single

Kevin Hunter's photo.

You have a crush on someone and want to run into them again. You ask for heavenly help and then continuously run into this crush every so often. You both stare at each other with interest, but say nothing. You grow depressed thinking maybe that the crush isn’t interested. You ask for help again. Your Spirit team can get you both in the room together, but they cannot make you talk. That’s up to the both of you to do. It’s like someone can get you a job interview, but it’s up to you to get the job. You’re a self-sufficient thinking human being. You’re not a puppet on strings that Heaven is controlling or making you walk and talk.

Thousands of Rose Petals, Thousands of Lights on Valentine’s Day

Saint Valentine is the patron saint of love and happy relationship connections. Today when others think of Valentine’s Day, they think of Hallmark marketing ventures with chocolates, roses, and champagne. Regardless, love should be exuded full time around the clock and not just on Valentines Day.

Over the course of entertainment history, there have been love songs recorded, romantic movies filmed, and books written about having a secure, loving, and passionate relationship. Someone felt those things, craved it, experienced it firsthand, or witnessed it in others. Love is a universal need and desire. It is your soul’s innate nature to express, even if you lost the ability to operate from that space. You can find that space again because the love you were born with never leaves. You just bury it beneath layers of cement created by your current life experiences. Valentine’s Day is a reminder to bring that love back out.

“Soul Mates & Twin Flames”

Astrologically: The energy influencing the planet through Monday is a bit contradictory. It is heavily surrounding planet Mars (sex drive), Mercury (communication), Jupiter (seeing the big picture), and Saturn (setbacks/delays). There is restlessness and a desire for a deeper connection whether you’re single, dating, or already in a relationship. Communication and the grey matter trumps a physical attraction. You want the whole package. Although stronger communication is desired right now, there may be some delays in getting that communication. The energy for the next few days is about correcting anything that needs to be adjusted, rather than dwelling on it. This includes what you desire in all connections and not just romantic ones.

Cupid, draw back your bow and let your arrow go. Whether you’re in a relationship, single, or dating, I am your Valentine. Even if you’re married I don’t care. I’m filling in for twenty-four hours as a temporary Knight before I’m on my way. This is one of my jobs and being fired is not in my vocabulary. Valentine’s Day has turned into a silly holiday with teddy bears, balloons, and chocolates. The positives are it’s a reminder to those who don’t know how to love. It’s a reminder to those who are crippled when it comes to relationships.

Jagger's Revolution by Kevin Hunter

“Jagger’s Revolution”

Valentine’s Day is everyday around the clock with whoever I’m with. I never needed a day to remind me of that. Born feeling love intensely every second to the point where it has become both a dangerous addiction and overwhelmingly intoxicating like Don Juan himself. My love life has been like a romantic novel with the endless highs, lows, joys, and sorrows that accompany that. The times I’ve been in between relationships has stunned others. Someone said to me once, “I understand your demanding life, but with your character and intelligence, you should always have a companion, like a cute trophy maybe.” Yeah, like Hugh Hefner. I’ll walk into the party with my signature boxers, combat boots, sunglasses, and bathrobe loosely tied and flanked with an entourage of trophies.  Valentine. ♥
