The Magician. Tarot Lesson Basics.

The Magician card image from the Tarot Illuminati

The Magician is a mover and a shaker. He’s a strong communicator with the gift of knowing. He makes things happen depending on where his intention and force of will is directed. If you’re asking about a career move and you receive the Magician card, then this is a positive message that if you want what you’re asking about bad enough, you’re going to get it. You have the power, creativity, concentration and strength of will. This card points to great success through focus and action.

The Magician is a master manifester, but he can also be a manipulator. He is extremely gifted and creative. He can bring anything he wants into his life by the sheer power of his mind and natural attracting in abilities. On the negative side, he can be a skilled con-artist and schemer. He can pull the rug from underneath you before you’ve noticed that you were taken advantage of.

The Magician is tremendously exceptional you see. Depending on where he directs his attention or services, he will without a doubt conquer and achieve it. This is regardless if the nature of what he desires is good or bad. The Magician works from his deeply creative mind. This card says that you can manifest and have what you want, but you have to put in some effort. This is about the power you carry within to make your dreams come true.

In love, the Magician card shows a magical committed union with someone else or the object of your desires. If you’re having love troubles with someone, then this card is saying that you both have the willpower to make some positive changes that will benefit the both of you. This card shows someone with immense magnetism and charisma that naturally draws in many admirers. The Magician has a beautiful way with succeeding and winning over people and circumstances. This is someone who understands how the law of attraction works. When the Magician wants something, he most often gets it through optimism and crafty ways. This card is generally a positive message that suggests you go after what it is you want, because you will get it.

The Magician can be a challenging card in some spreads depending on what cards surround it and how you word your question. If you’re asking if a lover is faithful and you receive the Magician card, then this is showing the person you’re with might be a little bit of a player. If it’s next to the Seven of Swords card, then this is a double whammy implying that your lover is not exactly committed in the relationship. Sometimes it’s not necessarily that they’re cheating, but that they don’t completely feel as if they’re in a relationship with you. They’re not fully committed in mind and heart.

The Magician is a highly intelligent person. He’s creative and successful, or has the abilities to manifest those traits. He’s able to take ideas and turn them into a profit. He’s magical, charismatic, sexy. For the most part, the Magician is typically an optimistic card that positive changes are on its way. Gifts will be bestowed on you.

The Magician card is attributed to powerful creative people. He is associated with entertainers, inventors and even politicians. Entertainers and inventors are the more positive side to this creatively powerful card, while politicians associated with this card might show a trickster in office successfully deceiving the public. Some of the more positive people that this card is aligned with are people like: Steve Jobs, Henry Ford, Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Walt Disney, Madonna, Steven Spielberg, Thomas Edison and Socrates.

The Fool: Tarot Lesson Basics.

The Fool card image from the Tarot Illuminati

The Fool. He’s not really a fool, but some might think so when they see him going after something that may or may not result in him falling flat on his face.

When the Fool shows up in a read, this is the “NEW” card. It’s someone attracted to new experiences and adventures. He loves the newness of things. One could say he’s a bit of a gypsy, always on the go, always moving. It can be someone who tends to move residences often as he grows restless when a situation becomes stale.

At times, he is somewhat aimless, floundering from one situation to another without any real plan. Sometimes it works out for him and other times it doesn’t. He doesn’t care as it’s always about the journey. Although he could be someone that makes rash decisions on an impulse only to come back months later uttering the words, “I think I made a mistake.” Yet, he bounces back up again and is off in search of new adventures.

When the Fool shows up in a reading, it can indicate someone who is about to embark on a new journey or new beginning in some phase in their life. It can be a new job, new home, new relationship or new path such as a spiritual one. If you’re wondering whether to pursue any of those new circumstances and “The Fool” card shows up, then this is telling you to go for it. The Fool is about taking that risk without worry. With the Fool, it’s always a 50/50 shot on how that risk might go. Surrounding cards would tell you more of the outcome.

The Fool makes spontaneous decisions without concern of the consequences. This has it’s repercussions at times, but the point to him is all about enjoying the journey knowing that it might not work out. The Fool is a big optimistic dreamer and usually isn’t concerning himself much over what could go wrong. The flipside is that the endeavor turns out to be a success. The meaning of the Fool is to just do it.

LOVE: If you’re asking about a new love. The Fool shows that there is a new love relationship coming in if it’s not already here. If the card is to represent another person or you, then this is someone who is possibly naïve, innocent, a free spirit, adventurous, but can also be uncommitted. The connection may not last as long as you hope when the Fool suddenly gets the urge to move on to something else or someone else.

He is happy, carefree, go lucky, always on the go, much like a gypsy who flits from place to place and experience to experience. He’s not necessarily committed or ready for a relationship, but the cards surrounding the Fool will indicate if it eventually moves into something serious.

This person can indeed be very committed for life, but he has a free spirit outlook to things. He might take off for a couple days to go hiking on an island without mentioning it. He likes to be by himself quite a bit. Living in his head painting pretty pictures of dreams he wants to see come to true. This is a whimsical, yet positive character who literally stops to smell the roses.

Sometimes the Fool can be committed pending he is with someone who can deal with his on the go independent nature. The Fool wants to feel free. He’ll return home if he knows he is with someone who is understanding of this.

The Fool is always dreaming up ideas, but doesn’t always act on them. He may start something new only to discover he has another idea or doesn’t want to do the current one anymore.

Major Arcana Cards in a Tarot Spread: Tarot Lesson Basics.

When doing a Tarot card reading, if you notice there are more Major Arcana cards in the spread than Minor Arcana, then this implies that the person being read for is in the process of going through some larger profound changes in their life that are taking some time to take place.

If the spread has no Major Arcana cards in it, then the one being read for doesn’t have any significant transformations or changes going on in their life. Instead, they’re experiencing smaller day to day issues that change and shift from one week to the next.

If you read for yourself regularly, or you obtain psychic or angel reads from others fairly often, then the cards that show up become less impactful in its meaning. This is specifically if you continue to ask the same question repeatedly. Therefore, any Major Arcana cards that show up in your spread have less of an effect than if you were to have a read once in awhile.

The reason is because some measure of time needs to pass in order to assess if the read you’ve done or had has come to fruition. When you’re reading every day and asking the same question, then it’s more than likely that the cards keep changing, which only causes confusion. However, the one advantage to reading often is if you notice the synchronicity of receiving the same message to a question, then this is further confirmation to pay attention to what is being revealed.

Major Arcana and Minor Arcana: Tarot Lesson Basics.

Cards in the image are from the “Tarot Illuminati”

Traditional Tarot decks contain 78 cards split into two groups. One group is called the Major Arcana and the other is called the Minor Arcana. The word “Arcana” means secrets or what is hidden and unseen.

The Major Arcana is made up of 22 cards, while the Minor Arcana is made up of 56 cards. The Major Arcana focuses on “major” life changes and shifts taking place or being suggested, while the Minor Arcana focuses on “minor” changes and shifts. Both the Major and Minor Arcana cards are equally important in the story that a card spread reveals.

The Major Arcana cards show situations that will take some time to come to fruition. It’s slower moving and discloses more long term modifications, larger significant changes, points or transformations that are taking place or are about to take place in one’s life.

The Minor Arcana cards showcase the immediate and day to day wisdom and guidance surrounding situations in one’s life.

Mix your Angel Tarot Deck Cards With Other Decks

At the moment, I’ve got 24 decks which I use in different ways and for various circumstances or issues. Sometimes if I’m not hearing clear answers or I need to triple confirm something, I will be asked or guided to a particular deck and get the exact information I suspected. There are occasions where I know which card is going to come up minutes before I pull it. If I’m feeling absent minded or scattered, then this is how I doubly confirm something and that is with the cards which never lie.

If you’ve read my Angel Tarot Deck card review then you know I gave it a big thumbs up with 5 stars.  I have two of the Angel Tarot Decks. One of them is a stand alone deck and the other is a deck which I used to pull out all the Major Arcana cards and all of the suits and incorporated them into other oracle decks.  This gives it extra emphasis and additional information.  The card stock size is the same as Doreen Virtue‘s oracle decks so its a perfect fit.

For example:

I took the Major Arcana cards which are represented by Archangels and mixed them in with the Archangels Oracle Deck. This provides me with more guidance and extra information to the read.  They work beautifully incorporated with this deck!  I can’t get enough of it.

I took the Fire suit, or sometimes known as the “Wands” suit, and mixed it in with the Ascended Masters Deck. The Fire suit is action oriented as are the Ascended Masters.  When I do a larger spread that includes Ascended Masters cards along with the Fire suit cards, it gives me amazing action steps and information to ad onto the read.  The Fire suit in the Angel Tarot Deck is represented by Dragons.

The Water suit is made up of Mermaids, Merman and Dolphins and is at times known as “cups” in the Tarot.  This is the emotional and feeling center of the deck.  I naturally mixed the Water suit cards in with the Magical Mermaids and Dolphins deck which is a great manifestation deck.  The information is incredible that if a Water suit card is pulled with two regular oracle cards from the Mermaids and Dolphins deck, you can really hone in on what the message is due to the influence of the Tarot card that shows up in the spread.  Once again, a stronger read with lots of fantastic information.

There is also the Earth suit are sometimes known as Pentacles in some Tarot decks.  In the Angel Tarot Deck they are represented by Fairies and Elementals.   They are outside in nature and assist us with manifestations as well.  I merged them in with the Magical Messages from the Fairies deck.  This elevated and expanded this deck making my reads with it stronger with deeper messages and insight.

And finally with the Air suit which is represented by Unicorns, I naturally merged that in with the Magical Unicorns Oracle Deck and this worked wonders!  The Magical Unicorns Oracle deck was produced as a deck for all ages and geared towards teenagers or young adults.  The information is easy to understand for a beginner, but the Unicorn deck also assists one with getting in touch with your inner child.  The energy is soft in this deck.  The Air suit in the Angel Tarot is the toughest suit.  It is also known as the “swords” in other Tarot decks.  The Swords/Air tends to intimidate some people or make them uncomfortable.  The reason is the Air suit predominately shows us where changes need to be made or another way to go and no one is comfortable with change.  The Air suit can point out areas where you need to improve and sometimes we are resistant to improving.  Mixing the Air suit in with the Unicorn deck altered the entire deck completely!  The deck’s messages were more detailed and powerful.  The Air suit within the deck made that suit less harsh.  This is a case where I found opposites attract.  They balanced each other out leaving for a very broader reading.
