Kevin Hunter Books

Kevin Hunter is the author of numerous spiritually based books attracting in loyal readers from all corners of the globe.  He is also a love expert, sage, and clairaudient, claircognizant, channeler residing along the coast of Southern California.

Professional Bio:

Kevin Hunter is an author, love expert, and channeler.   The majority of his works are in the metaphysical genre.  His spiritually based empowerment and inspirational books include, Warrior of Light, Empowering Spirit Wisdom, Realm of the Wise One, Reaching for the Warrior Within, Darkness of Ego, Ignite Your Inner Life Force, Tarot Card Meanings, and Awaken Your Creative Spirit.

The warrior of light series of pocket books include, Spirit Guides and Angels, Soul Mates and Twin Flames, Divine Messages for Humanity, Raising Your Vibration, Connecting with the Archangels, Four Psychic Clair Sense, and The Seven Deadly Sins.

Kevin grew up in an abusive violent household, which propelled him downward into a sea of addictions to escape through alcohol, drugs, or anything else he could get his hands on. A lifelong sufferer of social anxiety and ADD, he managed to find the one positive thing that was always constant, which is a focused clear connection with his Spirit team on the other side. As a result, with their help he began writing out the many ways they’ve positively helped him throughout his life and how they can help those interested or ready for it. Kevin has been hailed to be a strong forceful wise one that is supremely direct. His divinely guided books are intended to inspire, enlighten, and empower those suffering or struggling in the physical world.

His others books include the dating handguide which is one half practical and one half spiritual, Love Party of One, the horror/drama, Paint the Silence, and the modern day trashy beach love story, Jagger’s Revolution. His books tend to have a strong male protagonist where he tackles a variety of subjects.

Kevin has been featured and discussed in three books by best selling spiritual author, Doreen Virtue called, The Miracles of Archangel Gabriel, Angel Detox, and Living Pain Free.

Pre-Author Professional Bio:

Kevin began work in the entertainment field weeks after his 23rd birthday joining one of Hollywood’s most respected actors at the height of her box office fame, Michelle Pfeiffer.   The sharp, film-literate worked as her development dude at her company, Via Rosa, where he read and provided coverage on potential projects searching for strong female driven characters-no victims.  He worked through the company’s development and film productions of One Fine DayA Thousand Acres, and The Deep End of the Ocean.

After a number of years, Pfeiffer dissolved her company, and Kevin made an immediate move into coordinating Film Productions for some of the major Hollywood studios.   With a strong work ethic, he continued to hammer his name into stone in the film industry working with some highly well known talent, producers, and directors while adding to a mounting list of production credits.

Some of his other film work credits includes Antonio Bandera’s directorial debut of, Crazy in Alabama, Via Rosa’s Original Sin with Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas, The Perfect Storm with George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and Dr. Dolittle 2 with Eddie Murphy. He subsequently reunited with Pfeiffer’s ex-producing partner, Kate Guinzburg, at her short-lived company with veteran Producer, Martin Bregman (Scarface, Serpico), to assist in bringing the Julia Stiles and Shirley MacLaine film Carolina through development and production.

After  years of working on back to back films, Kevin transitioned into work as an author as he entered his 30’s and beyond.   He started out writing essays about love, dating, relationships, and sex before primarily becoming a spiritual author and teacher.

Many Souls Suffocate in the Practical Mundane Passionless World. Revolutionary Road.

Image may contain: 2 people , outdoor

In the film, “Revolutionary Road”, the Kate Winslet character suffocates in the trappings of the mundane world that humankind designed and longs to escape it in any way possible. The setting is in the 1950’s when choices for women were limited to non-existent, but her big speech to her husband played by Leonardo DiCaprio isn’t that far off from the world of today. Not much has changed over the decades except that women have more choices.

She attempts to convince her husband to quit his job and move with her and their kids to Paris where the choices are plentiful and more accepting than in America. She offers to get a job allowing her husband to find his soul essence again. He laughs calling it unrealistic, since at the time it was unheard of for a woman to be the sole provider, let alone obtain a real job. She explains, “Don’t you see that’s the whole idea? You’ll be doing what you should’ve been allowed to do years ago. You’ll have time. You’ll have time to find out what it is that you actually want to do, and when you figure it out you’ll have the time and the freedom to start doing it.” He counters, “Sweetheart, it’s just not very realistic, is all.” The deceptive ego tricks preventing you from moving forward and living the life you dream of.

She attempts to sell him on the idea of breaking free. “I think it’s unrealistic for a man with a fine mind to go on working like a dog year after year at a job he can’t stand, coming home to a place he can’t stand, to a wife who’s equally unable to stand the same things. You want to know the worst part? Our whole existence here is based on this great premise that we’re somehow very special and superior to the whole thing, and you know what I’ve realized…? We’re not! We’re just like everyone else. Look at us! We’ve bought into the same ridiculous delusion. This idea that you have to resign from life and settle down the moment you have children. And we’ve been punishing each other for it. It’s what you are that’s being stifled here. It’s what you are that’s being denied and denied in this kind of life. You’re the most valuable and wonderful thing in the world. This is our chance.”

As stated, not much has changed as so many people feel suffocated trying to find a way to break free and focus on their passions and life purposes. What would you do if you were granted all of the time and money in the world? Sure maybe you’d catch up on sleep the first week or so, but then you’d start working on your passion and purpose.

Jagger’s Revolution: The 10 Year Anniversary. Trashy Beach Reads.

Image may contain: ocean, one or more people, text and outdoor

It was ten years ago this week in November 2006 that my first official book came out, “Jagger’s Revolution”. Before my spiritually based books, I was writing about love, dating, sex, and relationships.

“Jagger’s Revolution” is an uncensored look at actual events that took place in my life. It is semi-autobiographical and loosely based, but for the most part about 85% of it did indeed take place. I had no reservations or fear that readers would be reading about me having sex. It’s my job to be cracked open when writing.

It has also been interesting to read the notes coming in from readers from all walks of life about it since then. Many growing wet or visibly nervous realizing they shouldn’t be reading this kind of a book out in the open as they’re having a physical reaction. Mothers part of the PTA to teenagers who are way too young to be reading this kind of trash anyway.

Every character is real and came out of composites of friends and lovers of mine. With some of them, I merged more than one into that character. The main love interest is a composite of three real people in my life. Before it came out, I explained to the core circle that they were treated like Kings in it. In the end, no one had any complaints and were excited and flattered they were used at all.

Jagger is ultimately a piece of my personal history, it’s also a love story on both a romantic and friendship level, even though it is “pornographic” in some places. I see the merging of physical expressions of love just as important as love itself.

Some of the racier content caused some problems behind the scenes with the distributor who gave me ultimatums. Basically, “change certain lines or we’re not putting it out”. “You can’t say that as it’s considered illegal. It’ll create issues.” They revisited that again a few years ago after the spiritual books started coming out where I had to spend hours on the phone negotiating or arguing with them over certain lines of dialogue. Some expressed concern that I would allow myself to associate the spiritual stuff with the sex stuff. That’s never been on my radar. I am all about both and have nothing to hide. There’s room for all facets of me, both the light and dark.

Some amusing and interesting trivia: In the Jagger book I say “cock” 80 times, but in my first spiritual book I say “God” 80 times. I once said I went from Sex to God, sometimes offending others by merging the two. Althea Flynt wouldn’t let Larry Flynt do that in Hustler magazine at one point, although he did manage to sneak both themes in anyway at times.

“I really resonate with your philosophy to be a dude who loves other dudes in their whole body-mind-spirit existence.”

“I bought the Kindle edition of your book !  I F**KING LOVE IT!”

“I have read Jagger’s Revolution and man was it a ride! It had little snippets of different genres, some romance, some erotica, some drama, some spiritual, and some suspense. The trajectory of the author’s personality was evident in this novel.  I am extremely fond of the chapter with Sage, because it was so magical yet heartbreaking. Jagger and Sage were so good for each other, but now it can never be!  I was really heartbroken by that. The chapter about the borderline bipolar sufferer who Jagger broke up with over text really pissed me off, because Jagger wasted so much time and energy on that guy. But the tension between Jagger and Garth is something I can relate too. Against all odds they finally meet after so much anticipation! It took me 24 hours to finish this book and I was intrigued every second.”

Jagger’s Revolution is a hot Summer beach read about a love crush come true

Jagger’s Revolution

Jagger’s Revolution is a love story about a strong, bohemian, beach thug with hard coded rules of etiquette on how love and relationships should be.  Jagger’s fight is one where he endures one bad date after another, while wondering if he’ll ever meet the right soul mate.  Throughout his dating dalliances and crushing love frustrations, he wrestles with the kind of gushing love crush one has as a teenager over Garth, the new lifeguard from Australia. He wrestles with an immediate silent connection with him and longs to get close.

Jagger is surrounded and prompted up by his trustworthy brother in arms. They’re also known as his buddies for life who temper his unruly ego and aggression while giving him undying loyalty. There’s the preppy book smart Troy, the high-powered executive, Russell, and the sex loving and relationship hating Slade.

Jagger’s Revolution contains hard biting dating wisdom and ideals threaded throughout the essays. This is surrounded by true accounts of being slighted by love while craving a perfect soul mate partnership.

Reader Advisory Warning and Spoiler: Jagger’s Revolution is a love story which contains some sexually explicit scenarios.  In traditional love stories, the voyeur is secretly aware that the two leads will end up together, but the fun is the build up and the journey one tolerates before that happens.

The semi-autobiographical essays include: The High School Episode with Billy, Natasha: The Escort Chick, as well as Sage and The Vegas Stripper Club. Jagger finds exhaustion with several dating entanglements that includes: Caden: the Malibu Cobra, the Skaterboy, The Englishman and The Professor.

The Pacific Ocean is one of the few pieces of Heaven left in Los Angeles

Kevin Hunter's photo.

The great blue Pacific is a reminder that there are untouched spots where bits and pieces of Heaven can be found on Earth. It’s one of the few places in L.A. that I still have an attraction for. Maybe it’s because no one has access to overdevelop on top of it the way they’ve destroyed the rest of the city and other parts of the country.  I was born and raised in Los Angeles and the city was never as bad as its become today.  In the late 90’s the population started to multiply astronomically every year.  For some reason everyone wanted to move to L.A. and now that there is no more room, they want out, but are more or less stuck.

This particular photo I took is the tiny untouched beach city where I live in Southern California. I’m here regularly and often. Feeling the ocean mist hit you without a break alerts me to the reality that I am blessed. It’s also one of the very few areas in L.A. where the people are incredibly warm, friendly and inviting. How can you not be? The second you step foot onto this bit of paradise you can literally feel the stress evaporate off your body. Your true nature is exuded from the inside out. Everyone here automatically assumes a friendship the second you approach one another.

This is also surfer haven, which at times can look like a parking lot on longboards. The ocean tide has taken over the area where the sand is, but it’s not usually like that.  On super off days, I can be found somewhere over here for hours clearing, connecting, and igniting. It’s where the birth of dreams and inspiration happen.

Let’s Hear Your Sexual Fantasies Both Real and Imagined

Kevin Hunter's photo. One of my many projects in development is a book on your sexual fantasies both real and imagined. This is part study and part entertainment. If you’re feeling fearless, then private message me your stories of any length or email me at kevinsbeach@aol.com. Leave nothing out.  Don’t be afraid to be blunt or say certain words.

If I decide to use any part of it, it will be used anonymously if at all. The book also may or may not come to light. Like films in development, sometimes these projects sit on a shelf collecting dust for years and never fully get lift off.

I’ve sent out casting calls and have been interviewing others over the last number of months on the side surrounding this project. I have been disappointed with some of what I’ve been receiving. Technology and the rise in a lack of meaningful personal connections has killed ones imagination resorting to sound bites that bore me into a coma. It’s like talking to styrofoam. I’d rather scratch my face to death.

If that’s the case, the book may end up surrounding my own stories. Although the stuff I’ve found to be interesting is that many have talked about their fantasies surrounding a gender they normally aren’t primarily attracted to.  This is from hetero married or committed men and women.

Kevin Hunter quote, “When I write I go into a channel….”

Kevin Hunter

“It’s all in your eyes. You know how to interact emotionally with the camera so that viewers of the image see a personal connection with the subject and sometimes its enticing them. And you don’t want to know what’s in my head.  When I write I go into a channel so when I’m having the read thru of the entire manuscript way down the line I’m blushing myself.  I’m surprised that its something I would conjure up because I don’t necessarily remember it the way others do for some reason.  It can be intense.”

Trashy Beach Read – Jagger’s Revolution. Erotic Romance. Hot and Sexy.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

OCTOBER 2011

“Jagger’s Revolution”

The boy book that takes a not so pretty peek into the dating life in Southern California where most anyone can relate.

Things have just begun heating up in Los Angeles.  Jagger, a strong, put together dude works out his dating frustrations through a series of sexually charged columns and vignettes.  A fun-laidback-summer book for the under twenties set who hate to read, but are looking to get off, be slightly enlightened or just plain dreaming of love.  Readers follow Jagger’s hunt for the real thing in a city that seems to be plagued of any honest human connection.  One nineteen-year-old reader described it as a rainbow book for adults, “…more emotional, but HOT!”

The protagonist is an aristocratic beach thug who rules by his scrupulous idea of how dating and relationships should be equating dating with going to battle. He’s strikingly attractive, but also a menace, with an aggressive disapproval for weakness and bad etiquette. His rough and interesting dating past prompts an editor to spear him into incorporating and transcribing his findings into a series of columns for a popular magazine. The author sets up a highly perceptive dark alter ego, Jagger, to deliver a not particularly warm interpretation of the dating and sex world, while offering a fresh alternate perspective.

He steps up to inform us all about what it’s like to be a regular guy dating in the current frustrating marketplace, offering much more serious complications in the way of hunting for romance. Jagger wrestles with assuming the stance of a guy-cockiness and all-yet searching for a balance in finding love’s peace.  He seems to have it all down, and believes he has Mr. Right in his eye line, if only he could speak to him.

The narrative is sexually explicit throughout, but also affecting in places where you’re motioned to stop and think. He finds exhaustion with going on yet another sexual or friendly excursion when he knows the guy for him is the one he can’t say more than two words to. If there is any light to all his darkness, it’s the pleasing love story, the central theme that runs throughout his disappointments in matters of the heart. He experiences the kind of crush and love one has as a teenager over Garth, the dreamboat lifeguard from Australia, with the boyish distinction and the killer smile, who he keeps running into in passing.  He feels an immediate silent connection with him and longs to get close.

LOGLINE: A dark peek into the modern day dating life of Jagger, an aristocratic beach thug, handsome tough writer who suffers blows loudly while wrestling with a hard biting crush on the hot lifeguard he keeps running into, and who just might be his ideal mate.

NOTES:

Dark and erotic are two themes this story has been assaulted with.  It’s a character piece and a study about one guy’s journey to find love.I’ve always thought of Jagger as someone on a mission, someone who isn’t shrunken back into hiding.  He almost refuses to be a remote guy even though that might be what’s observed when someone first sees him.  He’s a quiet terror; you almost aren’t sure what he’s capable of because he’s total anarchy and his own law.  The universe conspires to present this younger Australian guy, Garth, into his life, and he has this instantaneous attraction to him that he doesn’t quite understand.

The first thing I wanted to do with him was throw romance out the window, because I believe in love over romance, and there is a difference.  In Jagger’s world, romance is a destructive force. It’s a lie, whereas true love is a universal truth that he pursues.  I wanted to expose the current western romantic mythology that’s in place, which is that there is such a thing as happily ever after, or your prince charming will come.  What I’m saying is that most people have a frustrated relationship with that myth, and that indeed IT IS a myth.  If you’re in the present, looking for truth, then you’ll be more satisfied, and that’s a much more beautiful view of life.  I can personally distinguish between love and romance.  Romance in Jagger’s world is a delusion, but whereas love, the reality of love is much more everlasting, and in the end that’s what Jagger finds in the story with Garth.

I’m portraying sexuality not from a guy’s point of view, but a particular guy’s point of view, and also a point of view on aggression when he reacts to being duped.  It’s not sexy for me to show the act of fighting, what’s more interesting to me is to show the real, true, emotional consequences of a damaged childhood or a relationship that is not at all fulfilling and fueling his spiral down into a rabbit hole.

I don’t think of him as hostile or loud-mouthed.  He’s a truth teller.  He’s honest.  He’s someone who has located all of his passion, and puts it into experiences and into words, and that’s where he’s located himself, he’s marginalized and lives on the fringes of things, engaged in himself until Garth comes along luckily, luckily for him.

The main erotic scene happens in the climax of the story between the two leads.I’ve found that I’ve had to justify how it’s love.  It’s been described as graphic, but very sexy.  My reaction is of confusion, it’s not graphic, it’s poetic, and because when they do go to bed they are both, very interested in each other’s pleasure and to me that’s about love and not just mindless sex.  I wanted to treat the eroticism between them in a very incredible artful way.

This isn’t a romantic comedy, but what I love about the formula of most romantic comedies is the journey you’re on.  You already know that these two people are going to get together, but the fun of it is waiting it out until the end when they finally do, the build-up, and the fantastic sexual tension that builds until you almost can’t take it, the traces of how the relationship slowly evolves.  In that sense it’s airy and distant because the lovers don’t truly converse on a massive level until the third act, I was thinking, “Sleepless in Seattle” and old crush romances like, “Sixteen Candles” getting the seemingly unobtainable popular boy in the end.  Jagger spends most of the story trying to get it together, dating the wrong people and dreaming of one he doesn’t really know and yet feels unusually connected to.  Whenever he runs into Garth, I wanted to hark back to those careless adolescent days when everything was starry eyed and beautiful just like in High School with your crush on the hunk.  When his love interest vanishes and is not in the picture he’s back wrestling with inner demons trying desperately to fix it all and climb out of it, but the hole is too deep.  As it so often happens, love does appear when you’re not looking and when it’s time, when it’s ready and that’s when you have magic. It takes a bunch of wrongs to get to a right.  The characters Garth and Jagger spend almost no time together until the inevitable conclusion at which point they meet officially, a minor miracle of romantic and erotic choreography.  I love that idea that sometimes the one for you is right in front of you and you don’t even know it.  Save the best for last.
