Bringing awareness for men suffering from body anxieties.

Image may contain: one or more people and indoor

It always rubs me the wrong way when I hear of someone body shaming another person. Even more so it rubs me the wrong way when I hear someone body shaming themselves not only in my presence, but in general period. I don’t want to hear that. Love all of yourself. Love and appreciate your bodies no matter what anyone says. Don’t compare yourselves or your bodies to other people. Everyone is uniquely beautiful. Everyone is beautiful period.

These men pose nude to promote male body positivity. While I know that women face this kind of outlandish scrutiny, but men of today do as well too, more than some realize.

One man says, “Up until recently, I couldn’t go swimming without wearing a t-shirt. I would never bare all in public. Not even shorts.”

These men spoke up about their body issues after they participated in a nude photo shoot to challenge “six-pack” culture.

Another man says, “I just don’t like my body, personally. You just look at other things, the way society is right now, you’re completely bombarded with Channing Tatum’s and Brad Pitts.”

The shoot was part of Alternative Fashion Fest. A fashion show that showcases diverse beauty. The organizers noticed a lack of awareness for men suffering from body anxieties.

Another guy says, “People seem to think it’s okay to tell me I’m too thin. So they’ll always comment about like, “Where’s your bum?”

The photos will be turned into a calendar and sold with ALL profits going to a mental health charity. Roll the brief clip on what they have to say:

Kevin Hunter is an author, love expert, and channeler.   The majority of his works are in the metaphysical genre.  His spiritually based empowerment and inspirational books include, Warrior of Light, Empowering Spirit Wisdom, Realm of the Wise One, Reaching for the Warrior Within, Darkness of Ego, Ignite Your Inner Life Force, Tarot Card Meanings, and Awaken Your Creative Spirit.

Kevin grew up in an abusive violent household, which propelled him downward into a sea of addictions to escape through alcohol, drugs, or anything else he could get his hands on. A lifelong sufferer of social anxiety and ADD, he managed to find the one positive thing that was always constant, which is a focused clear connection with his Spirit team on the other side. As a result, with their help he began writing out the many ways they’ve positively helped him throughout his life and how they can help those interested or ready for it. Kevin has been hailed to be a strong forceful wise one that is supremely direct. His divinely guided books are intended to inspire, enlighten, and empower those suffering or struggling in the physical world.

His others books include the dating handguide which is one half practical and one half spiritual, Love Party of One, the horror/drama, Paint the Silence, and the modern day trashy beach love story, Jagger’s Revolution. His books tend to have a strong male protagonist where he tackles a variety of subjects.

Kevin has been featured and discussed in three books by best selling spiritual author, Doreen Virtue called, The Miracles of Archangel Gabriel, Angel Detox, and Living Pain Free.

Pre-Author Professional Bio:

Kevin began work in the entertainment field weeks after his 23rd birthday joining one of Hollywood’s most respected actors at the height of her box office fame, Michelle Pfeiffer.   The sharp, film-literate worked as her development dude at her company, Via Rosa, where he read and provided coverage on potential projects searching for strong female driven characters-no victims.  He worked through the company’s development and film productions of One Fine DayA Thousand Acres, and The Deep End of the Ocean.

After a number of years, Pfeiffer dissolved her company, and Kevin made an immediate move into coordinating Film Productions for some of the major Hollywood studios.   With a strong work ethic, he continued to hammer his name into stone in the film industry working with some highly well known talent, producers, and directors while adding to a mounting list of production credits.

Some of his other film work credits includes Antonio Bandera’s directorial debut of, Crazy in Alabama, Via Rosa’s Original Sin with Angelina Jolie and Antonio Banderas, The Perfect Storm with George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, and Dr. Dolittle 2 with Eddie Murphy. He subsequently reunited with Pfeiffer’s ex-producing partner, Kate Guinzburg, at her short-lived company with veteran Producer, Martin Bregman (Scarface, Serpico), to assist in bringing the Julia Stiles and Shirley MacLaine film Carolina through development and production.

After  years of working on back to back films, Kevin transitioned into work as an author as he entered his 30’s and beyond.   He started out writing essays about love, dating, relationships, and sex before primarily becoming a spiritual author and teacher.

Love Party of One examines the current dating world for struggling singles longing for love.

Image may contain: text
Love Party of One examines the current love and dating world and what to expect for anyone struggling with being single and longing for love. One of the ways of surviving modern day dating and relationships in a loveless world is by armoring yourself with knowledge. This includes knowledge over the way things currently are. You’ve went to psychic readers, you’ve cast spells, you put yourself out there, did the vision boards, the crystal meditations, and other love rituals presented to you, but you still find you’re desperately wishing the person of your dreams was here already. You grow cynical as if it will never happen and that you just have to accept the fact that perhaps it’s not in the cards. The truth is that dating is a battlefield, so be prepared to get dirty.

In Love Party of One, Kevin Hunter answers some of the practical issues that readers posed regarding their personal conflicts in the current dating market. This is a non-denominational book with some light spiritual slang for anyone struggling as a single person in a loveless world. The dating market is an equal opportunity killer and no soul is exempt from the challenges they face when it comes to love.

Testimonials

“As much as the author’s personality seems to be the work of Picasso, I read the intro and first chapter of “Love Party of One”. I was glued to it, because I really can relate. The things Kevin Hunter touches on in this book are right-on.” – A Reader

“Loved this book. This line really stood out to me: “Desiring a love partner is not co-dependent…to equate a basic human need with desperation is absurd.” – A Reader

“Quite a bit of my dating struggles in my own consciousness I found to be already written down in this book. Love Party of One really vibes with me. Loved it. Thank you.” – A Reader

“I have been reading this book and can’t put it down! It’s soooo good!!! Fantastic work Kevin Hunter! He should be a teacher in a school or college, or a counselor! This stuff he wrote in ‘Love Party of One’ is right to the point and on the mark! Damn he’s good! His Archangel team guided him to a best seller in my opinion! I’m just about to start chapter 8 and each chapter is like, “Damn, he’s so right! He is good! Great job with this! What a gifted Angel and Wise One he is. A true Warrior for sharing the right stuff! Thank you!” – A Reader

Jagger’s Revolution: The 10 Year Anniversary. Trashy Beach Reads.

Image may contain: ocean, one or more people, text and outdoor

It was ten years ago this week in November 2006 that my first official book came out, “Jagger’s Revolution”. Before my spiritually based books, I was writing about love, dating, sex, and relationships.

“Jagger’s Revolution” is an uncensored look at actual events that took place in my life. It is semi-autobiographical and loosely based, but for the most part about 85% of it did indeed take place. I had no reservations or fear that readers would be reading about me having sex. It’s my job to be cracked open when writing.

It has also been interesting to read the notes coming in from readers from all walks of life about it since then. Many growing wet or visibly nervous realizing they shouldn’t be reading this kind of a book out in the open as they’re having a physical reaction. Mothers part of the PTA to teenagers who are way too young to be reading this kind of trash anyway.

Every character is real and came out of composites of friends and lovers of mine. With some of them, I merged more than one into that character. The main love interest is a composite of three real people in my life. Before it came out, I explained to the core circle that they were treated like Kings in it. In the end, no one had any complaints and were excited and flattered they were used at all.

Jagger is ultimately a piece of my personal history, it’s also a love story on both a romantic and friendship level, even though it is “pornographic” in some places. I see the merging of physical expressions of love just as important as love itself.

Some of the racier content caused some problems behind the scenes with the distributor who gave me ultimatums. Basically, “change certain lines or we’re not putting it out”. “You can’t say that as it’s considered illegal. It’ll create issues.” They revisited that again a few years ago after the spiritual books started coming out where I had to spend hours on the phone negotiating or arguing with them over certain lines of dialogue. Some expressed concern that I would allow myself to associate the spiritual stuff with the sex stuff. That’s never been on my radar. I am all about both and have nothing to hide. There’s room for all facets of me, both the light and dark.

Some amusing and interesting trivia: In the Jagger book I say “cock” 80 times, but in my first spiritual book I say “God” 80 times. I once said I went from Sex to God, sometimes offending others by merging the two. Althea Flynt wouldn’t let Larry Flynt do that in Hustler magazine at one point, although he did manage to sneak both themes in anyway at times.

“Nice transition at the coffee shop into Slade. I heard the voicemail beep and it was Slade. I had to read to find out who he is!!”

“I wish I could have this author for a boyfriend.”

“Wow!!!! “Had a two hour flight.  I began to read the book, and then when I got to the last few chapters of Garth and Jagger’s love story and their spiritual and sexual chemistry!  Man!  That romantic letter by Garth to Jagger.  I was so moved by it that by end of my flight I was teary and craving for love. Felt so romantic after so long.”

“Billy and Jagger.  Hot scene Kevin.  I had visuals”

“I really resonate with your philosophy to be a dude who loves other dudes in their whole body-mind-spirit existence.”

“I bought the Kindle edition of your book !  I F**KING LOVE IT!”

“I have read Jagger’s Revolution and man was it a ride! It had little snippets of different genres, some romance, some erotica, some drama, some spiritual, and some suspense. The trajectory of the author’s personality was evident in this novel.  I am extremely fond of the chapter with Sage, because it was so magical yet heartbreaking. Jagger and Sage were so good for each other, but now it can never be!  I was really heartbroken by that. The chapter about the borderline bipolar sufferer who Jagger broke up with over text really pissed me off, because Jagger wasted so much time and energy on that guy. But the tension between Jagger and Garth is something I can relate too. Against all odds they finally meet after so much anticipation! It took me 24 hours to finish this book and I was intrigued every second.”

Jagger’s Revolution is a hot Summer beach read about a love crush come true

Jagger’s Revolution

Jagger’s Revolution is a love story about a strong, bohemian, beach thug with hard coded rules of etiquette on how love and relationships should be.  Jagger’s fight is one where he endures one bad date after another, while wondering if he’ll ever meet the right soul mate.  Throughout his dating dalliances and crushing love frustrations, he wrestles with the kind of gushing love crush one has as a teenager over Garth, the new lifeguard from Australia. He wrestles with an immediate silent connection with him and longs to get close.

Jagger is surrounded and prompted up by his trustworthy brother in arms. They’re also known as his buddies for life who temper his unruly ego and aggression while giving him undying loyalty. There’s the preppy book smart Troy, the high-powered executive, Russell, and the sex loving and relationship hating Slade.

Jagger’s Revolution contains hard biting dating wisdom and ideals threaded throughout the essays. This is surrounded by true accounts of being slighted by love while craving a perfect soul mate partnership.

Reader Advisory Warning and Spoiler: Jagger’s Revolution is a love story which contains some sexually explicit scenarios.  In traditional love stories, the voyeur is secretly aware that the two leads will end up together, but the fun is the build up and the journey one tolerates before that happens.

The semi-autobiographical essays include: The High School Episode with Billy, Natasha: The Escort Chick, as well as Sage and The Vegas Stripper Club. Jagger finds exhaustion with several dating entanglements that includes: Caden: the Malibu Cobra, the Skaterboy, The Englishman and The Professor.

My Father was my greatest champion. Remembering the Father’s on Father’s Day

Kevin Hunter's photo.

You could say that the positive traits that my father this life time passed down to me or heavily influenced me in an unbelievable way were surrounding how important security, family, relationships, and teamwork are. He instilled in me a strong disciplined work ethic just by me observing him. He instilled the kind of loyalty traits in me that are more aligned with the mafia. This carried over from my career life to my relationship life. Sadly, as I witnessed these were all traits lacking in others. I would wonder what kind of Father’s they had growing up. Perhaps an absent one or one who didn’t care. My father cared beyond belief and maybe even cared too much to the point of smothering, but his heart was in the right place.

Dad had a wicked sense of humor laughing in all the wrong places like when someone tripped and fell. When I ended up in the hospital after blacking out on New Year’s Eve due to mixing cocaine and tons of alcohol over the course of ten hours without food, he was front and center. While I took what happened to me seriously and as a sign that it was time to wake up and change, my father instead giggled, “Things happen.”

He was the opposite of me where he craved constant attention and I was uncomfortable with any kind of attention or focus on me. He wanted never-ending people around him, loved to have endless gatherings for parties in celebration for no reason at all. This is with bbq’s, music blasting, and beers! Later in life I would be his go to person for counseling and business advice from my heavenly helpers. He became my biggest champion and at one point said, “You do know that you’re my best friend?”

Whenever someone was in trouble, he was the first person that was there almost with this confident excitement even if it was bad. He would go as far as to pose as someone else in front of a judge in a court of law and WIN for them. I had never seen anything like that before. He was the most fearless person I had have ever met in my entire life. He made me believe that anything is possible.

When he passed away and at the funeral, people were approaching me to say they didn’t know what they were going to do, “Your father always helped with that. He was always there when you needed him.” He was a great leader and negotiator. To this day I have yet to meet anyone who comes close to that. I am no doubt the product of a strong father.

I’d give my father a CD when I’d climb into his car. He’d find a song he loves and start blasting it and grooving to it clapping his hands. When it was over, he’d keep pressing the previous track button to play the song again. I’d scoff, “Tsk. Ugh. Come on. I don’t want to get sick of it.” Then he’d turn it up even louder to drown my complaints out. :/ Then play it repeatedly the whole trip.

Months before he passed on it was almost as if he was preparing himself. He asked me about the Archangels as if he were going to meet them tomorrow and wanted to know what to expect. I enlightened and prepared him.

The Fathers of the world never get enough attention. Strong Father’s make strong children and often society doesn’t put the spotlight on Dad enough. How are Men as Fathers? This world needs our Father’s back. As I grew older and into my thirties and above, I realized that I was becoming a surrogate Father figure and older brother to so many people around the world that found they couldn’t get it in anyone else. It was a role I naturally moved into without effort or desiring that. I give some credit to my Father for that and all of these positive traits that had a deep and long lasting influence on me today. Traits that others praise me for having today.

Thousands of Rose Petals, Thousands of Lights on Valentine’s Day

Kevin Hunter's photo.

Saint Valentine is the patron saint of love and happy relationship connections. Today when others think of Valentine’s Day, they think of Hallmark marketing ventures with chocolates, roses, and champagne. Regardless, love should be exuded full time around the clock and not just on Valentines Day.

Over the course of entertainment history, there have been love songs recorded, romantic movies filmed, and books written about having a secure, loving, and passionate relationship. Someone felt those things, craved it, experienced it firsthand, or witnessed it in others. Love is a universal need and desire. It is your soul’s innate nature to express, even if you lost the ability to operate from that space. You can find that space again because the love you were born with never leaves. You just bury it beneath layers of cement created by your current life experiences. Valentine’s Day is a reminder to bring that love back out.

“Soul Mates & Twin Flames”

Astrologically: The energy influencing the planet through Monday is a bit contradictory. It is heavily surrounding planet Mars (sex drive), Mercury (communication), Jupiter (seeing the big picture), and Saturn (setbacks/delays). There is restlessness and a desire for a deeper connection whether you’re single, dating, or already in a relationship. Communication and the grey matter trumps a physical attraction. You want the whole package. Although stronger communication is desired right now, there may be some delays in getting that communication. The energy for the next few days is about correcting anything that needs to be adjusted, rather than dwelling on it. This includes what you desire in all connections and not just romantic ones.

Kevin Hunter's photo.

Cupid, draw back your bow and let your arrow go. Whether you’re in a relationship, single, or dating, I am your Valentine. Even if you’re married I don’t care. I’m filling in for twenty-four hours as a temporary Knight before I’m on my way. This is one of my jobs and being fired is not in my vocabulary. Valentine’s Day has turned into a silly holiday with teddy bears, balloons, and chocolates. The positives are it’s a reminder to those who don’t know how to love. It’s a reminder to those who are crippled when it comes to relationships.

Jagger's Revolution by Kevin Hunter

“Jagger’s Revolution”

Valentine’s Day is everyday around the clock with whoever I’m with. I never needed a day to remind me of that. Born feeling love intensely every second to the point where it has become both a dangerous addiction and overwhelmingly intoxicating like Don Juan himself. My love life has been like a romantic novel with the endless highs, lows, joys, and sorrows that accompany that. The times I’ve been in between relationships has stunned others. Someone said to me once, “I understand your demanding life, but with your character and intelligence, you should always have a companion, like a cute trophy maybe.” Yeah, like Hugh Hefner. I’ll walk into the party with my signature boxers, combat boots, sunglasses, and bathrobe loosely tied and flanked with an entourage of trophies.  Valentine. ♥

Let’s Hear Your Sexual Fantasies Both Real and Imagined

Kevin Hunter's photo. One of my many projects in development is a book on your sexual fantasies both real and imagined. This is part study and part entertainment. If you’re feeling fearless, then private message me your stories of any length or email me at kevinsbeach@aol.com. Leave nothing out.  Don’t be afraid to be blunt or say certain words.

If I decide to use any part of it, it will be used anonymously if at all. The book also may or may not come to light. Like films in development, sometimes these projects sit on a shelf collecting dust for years and never fully get lift off.

I’ve sent out casting calls and have been interviewing others over the last number of months on the side surrounding this project. I have been disappointed with some of what I’ve been receiving. Technology and the rise in a lack of meaningful personal connections has killed ones imagination resorting to sound bites that bore me into a coma. It’s like talking to styrofoam. I’d rather scratch my face to death.

If that’s the case, the book may end up surrounding my own stories. Although the stuff I’ve found to be interesting is that many have talked about their fantasies surrounding a gender they normally aren’t primarily attracted to.  This is from hetero married or committed men and women.
