Make the effort to respond to others with something positive instead of the misery

I was at the store with a friend of mine checking out with the cashier. The grocery bagger came over with a smile and said, “How are you doing?” I shouted with a huge smile, “I’m doing great!! How are you?” He said, “Wow, I’ve never heard that response from someone before, it’s always….” I interrupted him and said, “What? They’re miserable.” He said, “Yeah, it’s always how horrible their day is going or how much they don’t want to work.” I said, “That’s tragic.” My friend says to me on the way out, “This is what you talk about in some of your books.” I said, “I know. It’s an epidemic.”
It’s not uncommon to get caught up in the funk that you feel might be your life at this time, but remember the blessings you have. Notice what isn’t working for you in your life and take action steps to begin improving it. As tough or stressful as your life might be, make the effort to respond to others with something positive instead of the misery.
“Try not. Do or do not. There is no try.”
“Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.”
“You must feel the force around you.”
“The dark side clouds everything. Impossible to see the future is.”
“You can’t believe it? That is why you fail.”
“You must unlearn what you have learned. You will know good from bad when you are calm and at peace.”
“Me a great warrior? Wars not make one great.”
“Something lost. A part of you perhaps. That which you seek, inside you will find.”
