Venus prepares to move direct in a week while Mercury goes retrograde

Photo: The planet Mercury has entered the shadow phase today before it goes retrograde on February 6th. The effects will be felt the closer we get to that date. Get ready for communication problems and misunderstandings. Technical glitches will also be at the forefront. The planet Venus is on the final leg of it's retrograde cycle. It heads direct on January 31st. Its going to feel like there is no break with these two very important planets overlapping one another in a retrograde cycle. Mercury and Venus in retrograde affect our personal day to day lives. Over the last month or two, Venus has prompted many of you to evaluate your current relationships. This means solidifying a stronger commitment or ending the connection. If you're single, then you were likely evaluating the kind of relationship you'd like to have. In February, things start looking up where relationships are concerned, but not quite with this Mercury going retrograde business. It will cause some delays in smoothing out the rough edges. When a planet is retrograde it prompts you to be more introspective and re-evaluating the concerns that surround the nature of that particular planet. With Venus, it's things like relationships, love and beauty. With Mercury, it's communication and traveling. Retrograde cycles cloud one's judgment prompting the ego to lash out or act out impulsively. The plus of these two particular retrograde cycles happening at the start of the year, is that its a good time to really take a hard look at what needs to be modified or changed in your life. By March, things will be much smoother. I know it's a challenging way to start a year, but it is all for good reason.
